y. sangaré is a playwright, writer, and creative. she is currently a student at columbia university in new york, studying history and sociology. sangaré is an aspiring afro-surrealist urban fanatic with a great reverence for lorraine hansberry, jack geiger, and archivists everywhere.
when not on google docs, she takes photos on her lumix gx85 and thinks about twentieth-century history. she also once walked from 116th st to brighton beach in 6 hours, which she insists is worthy of mention, if not explanation.
